SALES DEPARTMENT - EPIC FAIL - ZERO STARS. Shopped at Lustine because they had a particular vehicle I was interested in advertised on their website and in their inventory. I initiated a request for information from their website, and was immediately contacted by a gentleman named BASIL DI-KE. This man could not speak the English language, and I had difficulty understanding and communicating with him. I was then contacted by the Internet Sales Manager DAVID ALGIE, and asked him for an "out the door price". In response, I received an ambiguous formula price, which included the base cost of the vehicle plus freight ($995), processing ($599), sales tax (4.22%), and tags ($54). Unsure of how to calculate the sales tax into the deal (with or without freight and processing) I asked for clarification, and the "out the door price". I received no response. Shortly thereafter, I received a price from the Sales Manager DEDRIC DAVIS, followed shortly by another e-mail from Internet Sales Team member BRANDON SHANAHAN. I called SHANAHAN to confirm the VIN, and the get a hard price. SHANHAN calculated a slightly different price, which was still acceptable. I told him I thought his price was low, and had been told by other dealers the vehicle couldn't be had for that price to which he responded, "well, other dealers can't do what we do". Nevertheless, I told him I would drive from Leesburg to his dealership the following morning to purchase the car (a three hour round trip). That was at 7:30 p.m. He stated, no problem, I'll have the car pulled from the remote lot, and it will be detailed and ready to go when you get here. No need to take a deposit, since it's late in the evening, and you'll be here in the morning. Fast forward to the next day. Jump in the car with the family for the 90 minute ride from Leesburg to Woodbridge. Wanting to confirm the price, and the car before I left, I called BASIL DI-KE. No answer. Called DAVID ALGIE......no answer....voice mail not accepting messages. Called DEDRIC DAVIS, who answered, stated it was his day off, and that ALGIE was the on-site manager. He said he would text ALGIE and let him know I was on the way. Smelling a rat, I called ALGIE's cell phone again. No answer. Called the dealer main line.......ALGIE on a call....I said I'd wait. I waited, and waited, and waited, all the time driving to Woodbridge at this point. The operator comes on, and I said, I'm going to wait until he picks up. Finally, ALGIE answers, states the price of the car, and says, "I'll see you when you get here". We arrive. It's noon on a Tuesday. No parking anywhere. The dealership is a mess. Cars double parked, cars parked in fire lanes. Had to circle the lot three times to find a spot. We find BASIL DI-KE, and he tells me, "you know what, you're going to hate me, the car sold last night", and immediately breaks into a hard sell on another similar vehicle. I KNOW I'VE BEEN HAD !! I collect my family, issue some expletives, and walk off the lot. BAIT AND SWITCH !!!! Looking back on it, I doubt they ever had the car I wanted. Remote lot my (you know what)!! IT'S ALL A PLOY TO GET YOU IN THE DEALERSHIP TO SELL YOU SOMETHING YOU DON'T WANT. THEY WILL DO IT AT ALL COSTS, AND THEY CARE LESS IF THEY WASTE YOUR TIME. This dealership is dishonest, unscrupulous, and is in the business of wasting your time, and attempting to steal your money. Don't let them do it!!! AVOID this place as if it was infected with the Ebola virus.
I had similar problems with them a couple years ago. Wish I had posted the issue here as well.
They just don't do the right thing...at any level.
